My name is Janaki Vivrekar, and I’m a EECS graduate student at UC Berkeley, where I’m studying human-computer interaction and new media. My interests range from designing inclusive educational experiences to creating novel sensory interactions in natural and culinary spaces. In my work, I explore creative expressions of contemporary social and ethical issues related to accessibility.
In May 2020, I graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics with a concentration in Data Science. I also completed the UC Berkeley Human-Centered Design Course Thread, the Undergraduate Certificate in New Media, the Berkeley Certificate in Design Innovation, and the Sutardja Certificate in Entrepreneurship & Technology.
